Are you launching the correct server? Meaning are you launching the one that you installed and updated via SteamCMD?

None that I know of, everyone just uses SteamCMD. When you installed the dedicated server what patch did you choose? Also did you update it through SteamCMD or do a fresh install?

I did one update on the regular server, then i started from scratch when that didnt work.

I just did the app_update 90, and it downloaded everything, then it wouldn't boot the hlds up, then i did the validate, and it boots to console, but now I'm getting the MasterServerRequest. Your server is out of date. Please update and restart.

I've tried reinstalling like 15 times now.

Every fresh install using steamcmd makes a hlds.exe that can't launch. Is there any way I can get a little extra help -.-

I would love to, but I take the "no steam no support" position that alliedmods.net, srcds.com, and many other communities do. I understand why you guys can't take that position, however as a community member I have no obligation to help the customer, even though I love to.

If you can find a way to PM me, I will guide you to the solution so you can help him.

He shouldn't be running NonSteam as we mentioned earlier in the thread he should disable and do a fresh install.

Non-steam isn't causing the problem, however knowing his server will be running non-steam is why I refuse to directly help him solve his issue.
