Server not showing up on master server list or game-monitor?

Is this the equivalent of the old hldsupdatetool? Can i start from scratch by creating a cstrike folder and running it inside of it? Right now when i run it it either crashes, or creates a folder called "package" and then exits.

Technically, yes.

Are you downloading SteamCMD from here?

To fix that error do this..

Go to your control panel > Internet Options > Connections > Lan settings and select "automatically detect settings". Click ok and relaunch the program.

Now I'm getting "Error! app '90' is 0x1 after update job"

Try using "force_install_dir C:\myserverinstall"

Then running the update command.

So everything is now up to date (from scratch) yet the hlds (From both console bootup, and the ugly gui bootup) fail to start.

The gui bootup fails immediately, but the -console shortcut created boots up / doesn't connect to the master server.

Fixed it, got server up, still doesn't appear to be showing up in the server listings -.-

Is the server still running stock and do you have any firewall enabled on your VDS that could be blocking the connection?

server has metamod and amx, i can disable both if it might help. And unless something preset firewall wise is setup there shouldn't be, i haven't adjusted any firewall settings etc.

Are you still able to connect to it and play around in it just fine?

Try adding -condebug to the command line and rebooting the server. This will generate a console.log file in the root of your "csgo" folder. View that and see if there are any errors on why it may not be showing on the list.

I can join etc, all errors on startup i've fixed so far.

The issue now that I'm seeing is that it tells me my server is not up to date and must be shut down / restarted. However, if i use the steamcmd program and verify the install, it says app 90 is up to date.
