Are you remembering to refresh your favorites screen after adding the server? Steam does not show added servers properly until after a refresh.

They are trying to tell you that you incorrectly setup your server, and it's NOT running.
That's why you can't add it. It's not recognized because it's not running.

A command line looks something like ours does for our L4D2 servers:

For security reasons, should never post your IP's

Why?

The ip's are available everywhere.

On our forum, on Battlelog, on Battletracker, on Gametracker, etc.

Just not a good practice, period. Yes they are searchable, but why make yourself more vulnerable to an attack. These days, better safe than sorry .

That is a good point to, I was kinda thinking along the lines of an rcon password, so I can change the IP back if you would like.
