Website freedom

On January 17, we added the capability to change the subdomain for a website through the Control panel's Website tab. This gives renters the freedom to change their website URL instantly, at any time, night or day.

Does this mean that the website and gameserver no longer need to have the same subdomain, or does the gameserver subdomain (identifier) change at the same time?

the gameserver and web subdomain never had the same address, they can't since they are entirely different IPs

the gameserver DNS directs to the gameserver IP, the web DNS directs to the webserver IP and to that particular folder

only the web subdomain is changed when using the feature on the website tab

The game server and website must still be different subdomains, because they're still hosted on different machines (so that the game server isn't affected by webserver activity).

This primarily means that customers no longer need to email us to ask for a website subdomain change.

what about the emails. they all stay the same. we change clan tag but even to make new emails they are with the old address

The emails go off of your server identifier, not the webspace subdomain. You still need to contact us via email to get your identifier changed.
