AMX Mod X

With the release of AMX Mod X 1.0 Final, we have switched over from our official support of AMX to AMX Mod X.

We had been planning this since the August, when AMX Mod X 1.0 was originally scheduled for release, in order to replace our increasingly outdated AMX version (0.9.6j).

AMX Mod X runs much faster than its predecessors, supports more features for plugins to take advantage of, and is more streamlined under the hood. It also has a vibrant community behind it.

You can find more information on AMX Mod X, including plugins, at http://www.amxmodx.org. Most simple plugins designed for AMX will work out-of-the-box on AMX Mod X; more complicated plugins, such as HLDM or WC3, have updated versions available in the Plugins section of the AMX Mod X forums.

If you are running an older version of AMX Mod X, such as 0.16 or one of the 0.20 beta versions, we strongly recommend that you upgrade to 1.0.
