We are proud to announce the offering to renters of a third choice of backbone provider: Level3 in LA, for which we have immediate server availability.

Our Level3 bandwidth in LA generally has better characteristics than our Verio bandwidth there. For instance, it only takes one hop on the Level3 network to jump from LA to New York, NY and only one hop to jump to Washington, D.C., whereas on other backbones it often takes several, and your ping suffers as a result of the indirect route.

We are initially offering Level3 LA bandwidth for slightly more than Verio LA bandwidth, due to the fact that it is significantly more expensive to us as a direct result of its quality.

If you currently have a server at Verio LA or InterNAP Seattle and you'd like to upgrade to Level3, just order one from the order page with a new, random identifier and mention that you are moving in the comments. I'll reply with a new paypal link and after that is squared away I'll move all your files over; the only difference to you will be a new IP address and better ping!
