Chicago: On the way

Post by Edge100x »

We are working on an expansion to Chicago within the next couple of weeks. The price point for Chicago will (at least initially) be less than or equal to our Hybrid LA pricing.

If Chicago goes well, we will also be considering other locations such as Texas and New York.

Additionally, we will be adding a gigabit link to Level3 in LA that will allow us to further optimize our connection there and make even better use of our router.

So, stay tuned -- exciting things are in the works :)

We are primarily looking at Level3 as the bandwidth source for these expansions as it has excellent quality in Chicago, New York, and Dallas.

We are also looking into possibly reopening our Level3 Seattle location, though that isn't as important as expansion to other cities imo.

most definately not.

Cogent is like the bottom of value cheap bandwidth. At NFo, only the top grade of bandwidth is used, Level3 or Internap.

Didn't think so, just edge said the pricing will be the same as hybrid so I was thinking value and Cogent is cheap :o

Well, as I said higher in the thread, we are primarily considering Level3. It would either be that or InterNAP. Most other backbones are inferior, and Cogent is not even on the radar -- it's terrible stuff.

Get InterNAP, it seems to be the best, and you guys should try to stick with it :)
