I would not have recommended airing this publicly, but since you have posted it, I will respond.

I directly sent you multiple emails over the last two weeks in response to allegations of serious abuse. These allegations did not involve direct evidence, which is why I contacted you to ask for a rebuttal. In my last email, I explicitly told you that you needed to respond within 24 hours or we would shut down your services and block further orders. You chose not to respond. I gave you 12 more hours as a courtesy, then shut down your servers last night, as promised. I also refunded every single donation and payment associated with the services at that time, because it was obvious that this also needed to be done -- I realized that there was a high likelihood that fraud was involved and that, even if there was no fraud involved, your donators would not be happy that you cheated them out of their money.

We are not open at 1:36am. Our staff responded to you immediately after we opened this morning.

I did not CHEAT anyone out of there money, Everyone donated for special ITEMS in game etc. If there was FRAUD involved paypal wouldve contacted you guys. And I told you I DIDNT GET ANY EMAIL. If i did i wouldnt be foolish enough to not reply, or you couldve raised a support ticket and notify me

Causing your servers to be shut down such that the donators did not receive the benefit they were promised when making the donations would be cheating them out of their money, and that's what you did.

Paypal notifies us of chargebacks and claims of fraud and abuse. Usually these occur months after the payments are made. In this case, refunds were necessary to head off that inevitability. I do not find it enjoyable to force a server offline and refund hundreds of dollars made across many small donations, but that is what I had to do.

You just sent us a screen shot or your email inbox (via the support system -- you're hitting us from multiple directions with this right now) that shows you received at least the email from April 27th warning you that the service would be disabled.

I did not want to have to shut down any service. However, I was forced to do so because you did not respond. All it would have taken is denying the accusation, since your accuser had no solid proof.

At this point, you and your donators have all your money back, and you received multiple weeks of free service from NFO, to boot. You can take that money and find another host. If that other host later brings an accusation of abuse to your attention, you'll know to take it seriously.

Also I hope users reading this sees, how NFO is like, If someone simply say your a hacker, they gonna shut you down without "solid evidence" Thats disapointing. Recommend anyone to think twice about using this service.

Player, I gave you nearly two weeks to respond to the allegation. What we did was not unreasonable and any good ISP will do the same.

1. When you receive a complaint of abuse, notify the customer and ask for a response. Give the customer a solid amount of time to do so.
2. If continued complaints occur, escalate further and make sure the customer knows it is important that he respond.
3. If complaints continue yet further, notify the customer that the service will be shut down if he continues to ignore the notifications.
4. If no response has been received, shut down the service.

If there's a response at any point during this process, dialog about the situation will commence, and no later steps will be followed.

We have found that emails are the best way to reach customers directly with critically important information.

I love NFO, as do thousands of others. They would never shutdown a service without taking every possible precaution beforehand. I will support NFO, for the simple fact they are one of the only hosting companies out there that are more than fair, and provide an all around excellent service.

Cheers :)

Completely reasonable on NFO's part. They are responsible for what is happening on their network and servers. If you don't respond to their queries, then they have to take action to protect their network. They do not take this lightly either. Many hosts take you offline within 24 hours of an allegation. Two weeks to respond to repeated requests is very generous. Providing a service for two weeks that was completely refunded is beyond generous.
