Plugins Will not Install...

Post by CactusJab »

Add PLugin .Jar file to the plugins folder
restart server...
this would normally install the plugin, config files etc... in a automatically created folder for the plugin.

i added a couple plugins and restart after restart the plugins will not load or install.

pluginsthat are enabled and working:

CraftBukkit.jar
Essentials
essentials chat
essentials protect
essentials spawn
factions
dynmap
dynmap factions
money drop
starter kit
permissionsex
vault
minequery

all of the above have been working fine, and installed sometime time ago. goldenPosted Image

i tried to install:
WorldGuard
Limited creative

add the .jar files and restart server and nothing happens. no automatic folder created with config.yml

any ideas?
thank you for your time

These plugins have prerequisites. Are the prereqs already working? Have you checked the server log to see if an error message is being printed?

The best place to check for an error is right where the server is starting up and it's initializing each plugin. You might see a [SEVERE] or [INFO] line saying it couldn't start up with some details as to why.

When you download WorldGuard it's in a .zip file.
Also, the WorldGuard jar file would be named something like WorldGuard-5.3-.jar
While the .zip would just be named WorldGuard

So make sure you take the jar out of the zip folder, then place that into your plugins directory.
