What do you guys mean? ConquestLarge0 runs the map as is. Strike at Karkand, Sharqi Peninsula, and Wake Island are all Conquest Assault by default. That's just the mode of CQ is defined by the map. So, running any other variation of Conquest isn't gonna change it away from Conquest Assault. Running ConquestSmall0 and ConquestSmall1 will just reduce the number of flags.

I actually really like it because it motivates players to play the objectives and not just sit back and camp.

I agree with you, but it's still an issue. Ideally, we could have a standard Conquest version.

As server operators, we all know that you can only do so much to control the gameplay. Some features added with the best of intentions based on theory, usually wind up emptying a server in practice.

When the other team discovers they have no spawn point, 90% of the players get teed off and go play somewhere else. I've only seen the "EA Disconnect" clear out a server faster.

This wasn't as huge an issue with the previous games, but it's huge now given the Battlelog, Quick Match, Regional related server listings, and the challenge of getting your server populated.

Here's the official word from DICE. Apparently Oman is the only one that supports non-Assault Conquest.

Edge, thanks a million for the follow up, you guys are fantasic.

I'm a little disappointed EA didn't provide us with a traditional Conquest mode for the other 3 maps, but c'est la vie, we'll deal with it as is. Maybe Highway Tampa is under development. :D

LOL, yes, absolutely. Conquest Assault is too much like Rush with Flags rather than MCOMS. I'm assuming EA has no plans for it, so we'll have to live with it as is.

Procon says Wake, Sharqi, and Karkand have two small Assault modes.

XP1_004 ConquestAssaultSmall0 1
XP1_004 ConquestAssaultSmall1 1

Yet the screenshot only shows one small mode. What is the difference between Small0 and Small1?

The information in this thread is outdated. There's a screenshot of the current documentation here: viewtopic.php?f=72&t=7130.

The only documented difference is the number of flags.
