Some GSP's provide "Log URL's" to support rcon tools.

Black Ops, BF3 and MW3.

I've looked, but can't seem to find the equivalent here at NFO. Am I missing something?

I'm not sure what you mean here. What kind of tool are you running, and what format does it need?

Sorry about that..

The ProCon Tool while used on a NFO BF3 server supports a Chat Log within the tool itself.

The Paronicon Tool requires a "Log URL".. which is available on/from other GSP's.

An example would be "http://logs.gameservers.com/XXX.XXX.XX.XXX:3084/f7b978cf-ea31-4683-bb07-19e8efcbbad7"

There are other Rcon Tools that take advantage of this as well.

Hope I didn't confuse the question more...

It would lead to major security problems to offer up your logs over unrestricted HTTP (not to mention the standardd issues with running webservers on game server boxes), so we won't be seeing any HTTP URLs here. You may be able to use an FTP link to do this, but it's not something that I've tried.

This is something that nobody's ever asked before, so your request might also be BO-specific (we can't host BO servers).

Can a ftp:// be used in this case instead of http://, and can you pass login and password through a ftp:// url?

Not sure if you can use an FTP server in this case, but you can pass the login information via the url.

Pain, that's what I was suggesting he try, but I don't know if it will works. It depends on what this special application allows. I'm not familiar with this application.

It's a bit late, but better late then never. I wrote that tool. It's from gsngaming.com. What he is seeing is the fact that it is a Black Ops specific tool. We are working on making it work for WaW and CoD4 MW. Right now, it can't do any of what you suggested though.
