Do you have a .htaccess file in this folder or a parent folder that changes how .php files are handled?

Thanks Edge100x it seems like every time my friend is uploading something to the site the .htaccess disappears. But thank you for reminding me about the .htaccess.

.htaccess some times disappears for some reason.
We have seen this happen a lot when setting up websites.

Guess it depends on the content.

.htaccess never actually disappears, but your FTP client may not be configured to show it by default. Look for an option to show hidden files or to change the "ls" to "ls -a" output.
