In-game console

I am trying to recover my console. It has been working for a long time and today my system crashed and I can't seem to get it back. This is the line I have in my target for the shortcut

C:\SIERRA\Half-Life\hl.exe -game cstrike -console

Can someone help me out. Thanks.

in config.cfg , add "bind "`" "toggleconsole"

If you use hlsw, use the built in -console in the settings ;)
