Hello, I was redirected by John to post a thread here.

My questions are how do I set my player slots to 40 and how do I transfer all of my server's files to my VDS?

Also, if (or should I say when) I get DDoSed, what do I do? Would I make support request like I normally would?

Hi,

What server are we talking about here? Most player slots need to be set through the command line. To transfer files to your VDS you could download them to your computer and upload them to the VDS, or you could download them straight to your VDS via FTP.

Assuming you are going from a game server to an unmanaged VDS.

DDos are also handled by us. If the attack is severe enough to cause issues for other customers we are on it extremely fast. However it never hurts to open a support request.

Hello,
The game we're talking about is Garry's Mod. (So it can be considered as source game, but I think you already know it.)

Also, how could I

download them straight to your VDS via FTP.

Can support do that for us? Because a normal shared home network would take ages to do that.

The command line for the game would be how you adjust the player slots, Also if you are moving to a unmanaged VDS you could install an FTP client and drag and drop the files. If you are going to a managed VDS you would need to download the files to your computer and re upload them to the other servers FTP.

If you are trying to change the slots of a regular game server you rent with us know, please open a support request and we can provide you with instructions on how to do so.

I would like to know how to set the command line on the VDS, and I think we have a managed VDS.

Also, I would like to report an user for blackmailing us:

Longcat: Hey i hacked RCON and im gonna fuck up the server.
Longcat: precals234

On the managed tab of your CP you can see and adjust your command line.

As for the user your best bet is to ban him.

You will need to set that up your self. I would recommend Filezilla as it is the easiest.

I know that, I mean how.
Can I ask that in a support ticket?

You can but you will redirected to our forums, as we do not offer support through the request system for software related problems. However we are more then happy to get you going in the right direction.
