Last week or so my upload has gone up from a steady 3 to a steady 5megs. Now all I need is for them to enable upstream channel bonding on my modem.

Docsis 3? Obviously my ISP is doing a good job at it, as they are offering 10Mb upload tiers as of right now, at the 15Mb tier soon.

Comcast made the switch to Docsis 3 a long time ago. Recently they upgraded there network backbone in my area to 10K routers..I am thinking this might be the reason why I am seeing some better upload.

Yeah that could possibly be it. I know Shaw has been pushing digital tv here hard, trying to get most people on digital to free up some upload spectrum. We have a 10x10 gpon connection at my work and our exchange server saturates the 10Mb upload nearly all day long. Some of our employees have 200+ emails a day, and lots of course have high res pics, videos, etc. Just can't seem to get enough speed, or atleast without paying over $1500/month for internet alone. Owners don't want to do remote servers, like it in house, plus doing any sort of bulk uploads to them would suck to. All the perks of a data center would be nice though!

I've considered that as well. Rent a whole rack and have a cubby hole on top for sleeping. The sound of that many server fans would make me sleep like a baby! :D

Currently I live in a condo, and all my gear is at my parents giant house. However, in my small condo closet I have two little boxes running and I sleep better with them humming all night, than them off. Weird what makes a nerd comfortable!

Had to replace a fan on our new Dell rack server, and forgot that once the sensors detect the cover is off, fans go into turbo mode. Sounds like a fighter jet about to take off! I'm pretty sure I fell in love. I'm a true believer in love and first sight now.

I figured we should get back on topic instead of discussing how our computers and there fans allow us to sleep like babies..lol

Bowling Confirms No Zombies In Modern Warfare 3
Quote:
Robert Bowling confirmed on Twitter there will be no zombie mode in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3.

“No zombies in MW3.” Bowling said in a tweet.

“Although we do have a very different style of co-op in our new infinite wave based Spec Ops Survival mode,” he added.

Treyarch has been known to implement zombie mode into their titles, starting with 2008′s Call of Duty: World at War and Black Ops.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 will be released on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC in November.

Never found the zombies all that fun, so not too worried here! I'm more interested in finding out if we are gonna get server files or not. If so, if they will be able to ranked or not ranked. Either way it will be fine by me, but having the ability to run a ranked server from my own box makes me extremely happy. Although I think that's pushing the envelope with Activision  .
