Per topic title, will NFO ever plan to sell minecraft server rentals any time in the future?

Not only are we planning on it, we have been working on it for awhile now. Higher priority tasks have kept pushing back the support for this game, but it is at least half finished now.

John will hopefully have support for this game finished soon. For now, you could run you own on an unmanaged VDS server, as many of our other customers do.

I'm hoping to have initial support for Minecraft completed this week, with beta testing starting for select customers.

If you open a support request, I should be able to get you in, as long as we're not full up by that time :).

How are you going to deal with mods and plugins (like Bukkit)?

Plugins are supported. Renters can upload them using the full FTP access that we provide. Some plugins (like craftbukkit) also have autoinstallers.

That's cool. You going to be offering automatic backups or is that something we'd have to setup ourselvs? Would we be able to run this plugin for Bukkit: http://forums.bukkit.org/threads/misc-d ... s-860.489/ it runs like a webserver of sorts to get something like this: http://64.74.97.77:8124/ (map of my world). And finally, what about MySQL support? For me, for this plugin: http://forums.bukkit.org/threads/rpg-me ... -860.3505/

As with game servers, backups will be automatic.

I don't know.

You can run a MySQL client, certainly.

Further information will be made available after the private beta period is over.

You can always edit your post, as it's allowed for something like 5 minutes.
