has anyone used the 'broken' metamod since the 4/14/11 update? my server has been full all night and i dont want to turn addons back on and have them crash on map change.

The old MM:S is thoroughly broken. A new build is currently being made that will address this, and we'll update the autoinstaller when it's finished compiling: http://www.sourcemm.net/builds/waterfall

I plan to post an event after both MM:S and Sourcemod are ready, yes.

MM:S is ready now, but Sourcemod is still being compiled. Their last compile failed for it.
