how to delete old post in forums

I can try to research this for you, but the process varies from forum to forum. Which forum software are you running?

From what I am seeing, you are running like a php nuke style site. With this there is a built in admin panel with your CMS, there is also a PHPbb admin panel on the forums. If my memory serves me correctly you need to login tot he admin panel in the phpbb portion fo the site, and then look for pruning the forums. That is my best recollection of removing posts. You will need to be an admin to do this though.


If you are looking to delete whole topics or sections you can do that as well from this admin panel.


If this is not helpful please let us know exacts like version your running and so on and I will try to get more information.

Do you mean phpBB? PHP itself is not forum software.

In phpBB, click "Administration control panel" at the bottom of the page and log in as an admin. Click the "Forums" tab, then click "Prune forums", and it will guide you from there.

If the administration control panel link brings up a blank page then there may be a problem with your phpBB installation. If others have access to it, you may want to have them try as well, just to double check.

Did your phpBB installation come as part of other software, like it does with phpnuke? If so, I have often seen it be quirky and require you to log in to the main site administration back end first, and then access forum controls from there.
