Can yall please offer some type of voice communication server? I know Ive asked this before, as have many, but you guys really should. I remember yall saying something about a problem with licensing ventrilo, so dont use it. Use TeamSpeak (I think TS is better than all the others anyways) then or Roger Wilco even.

I was going to just host one off of my laptop but am deciding not to for two reasons. 1. The lag I would get in game and 2. My router doesnt like it. And if you guys still wont offer dedicated voice comm servers, is there anyway that I could put TS on the space you guys provide?

There are a lot of companies that host voice servers but Id rather get one from you guys considering I have a game server.

Any possibility?

I host ventrilo on the same computer i play cs on. I had to configure a port in my router but that was about it. The only time it lags me is when someone holds their talk button down or there are a bunch of people talking, both are things that shouldn't happen during a scrim or match.

We also tried out teamspeak and found that there were serious lag problems with it when hosted on a home pc. Ventrilo definately isn't as sexy but does a better job, in my opinion.

my teams use both ventrilo and teamspeak, teamspeak is great to run off a linux dedicated server, which we run windows. the new server they just released this month, its great for windows, just needs resources for it. ventrilo uses less resources, easier to config, but sometimes has its bugs and needs to be restarted.

Id just rather have it hosted. What port did you use on your router though?

A: The TS2 client uses 1 udp connection. It uses the whole 1024-65535 (udp) range for source port and sends to port 8767 (udp) unless indicated otherwise.

open up port number 3784, thats standard for servers and clients
