I was playing in CPL LA (Counter-strike Source) today and a bunch of kids were calling me a hacker - nothing new - I've been a competitive fps player for over a decade so I figured it was just the same old magic tricks that were baffling the beginners.

We played a few maps and they kept calling hax, but that's to be expected, then one of them became quite angry and aggressive - he tagged up as a member of my clan (which he still is, looking at server info almost 30 minutes later), and started trying to actually insult me (beyond calling me a hacker and scum and the usual).

I called him a retard, told him "sticking feathers up your butt does not make you a chicken"(Fight Club) and seconds later I was globally banned from all nuclear fallout servers without an explanation as to why.

It's possible they got someone to watch me play, saw me prefiring textures, twitch shotting heads, and seemingly knowing where people are (the 'hax' of Sennheiser 555's). That they misconstrued this as illegitimate, and banned me on account of my skill. Or it's possible that one of the kids accusing me has some administrative ability amongst your servers and banned me in desperation and anger: abusing his power. What's less likely but also possible is that your servers don't tolerate quotes without proper citation and banned me for failing to cite properly ;D

I don't believe that the CPL LA server is a community one, but it is possible that its banlist is linked to the community servers. The community is separate from the rental program (though supported by it) and you can find their relevant message board here: http://forums.nuclearfallout.net/viewforum.php?f=13

It is not possible that you'd be banned on all of our rented servers because of this. Each renter has his or her own banlist.
