Hey I'm planning on making a Minecraft server but I have a couple questions first.
P.S.Sorry if this is in the wrong forum.
-Minecraft just got updated to 1.0.0 are your servers 1.0.0 servers.
-Do you need to have a Minecraft account to make a server for it.
-How would I run the server.
-Do your Minecraft servers come with built in commands suck as /ban and /spawn.
-Do I get to make my ip address cause I have a great idea for one.
-When I get a Minecraft server does it already have a world or do I or another player have to put one in.
Thats all for now.

Yes, our servers have 1.0.0 available

-Do you need to have a Minecraft account to make a server for it.

No, you can set online-mode to false in the server.properties or Easy Setup tab.

-How would I run the server.

This is a pretty vague question. Could you rephrase it?

-Do your Minecraft servers come with built in commands suck as /ban and /spawn.

Some of them, yes. Other commands require the use of Bukkit and plugins, of which, we support the use.

-Do I get to make my ip address cause I have a great idea for one.

Your IP address is automatically assigned to you, but you do get to choose part of a DNS name.

-When I get a Minecraft server does it already have a world or do I or another player have to put one in.

A new world will be generated automatically.

So I don't need a Minecraft account to make a server for okay, but whats that thing about setting it to false can you give me a bit more info.
What I mean by how would I run the server is how do I make people admin/mod for it and make spawn points can you tell me what ae the built in features.
When my friends want to donate to me using that coffer thing am I able to use that money to pay for my server/put it into my bank account.

In short, when people log in to your MC server it will not check there name against MC auth servers. Basically anyone with a hacked client can join.

You will have basic admin by adding your name to the OP's list, but most users prefer to run Bukkit and more permission plugins..etc.

You can use it to pay for your server but it will be server money only. Basically once it is in there it stays there. It can only be used to pay for servers or buy new ones..etc and cannot be refunded.

We talk a little bit about coffer fund here;

Yes, you can find all of your server information in your control panel.

They are meant for 24/7 access, yes.

To set it up like you want, you would just need to set online-mode= to false in the server.properties file. Doing so will also let anyone join with any name and give them any access rights that name has, so you'll need to be careful with griefers causing trouble.

It can be found in the root folder of your server. You can get to it via FTP, the details for which are in the File Manager tab of your game server control panel.

You can allow non-legit copies to connect by setting online-mode= to false in the server.properties file. Notch doesn't seem to be bothered by it much, so we aren't either.

If you have the server this way already, please let me know the error you are seeing when trying to connect.

Check to see if query-mode= is set to true. If it is set to false, the server key error can come up.

Invalid key is just a bug.
Keep trying to connect, or close the game completely and reopen it to try again.

Or

Here's a suggested fix: http://www.minecraftforum.net/topic/801 ... r-key-fix/
