Is this possible? might it have to be installed manually?

Thanks in advance!

Do you mean your own machine?

I have a dedi box running Windows and have Minecraft installed on it. I am using McMyAdmin to do everything. Works like a charm.

We don't yet support Minecraft through our regular order page, Ecko89. It's something that I have been working on for months and the support is partially complete, but I keep getting pushed away from it by emergencies and time-sensitive tasks. Right now, all our Minecraft customers run them via unmanaged VDSes and dedicated servers.

Just out of curiosity's sake, will the standard rates be roughly $2.00 per slot for a server? As we all know, they aren't light on resources, and it's a highly talked about subject at work. We setup a test minecraft server on a virtual machine at work to see, and we were blown again. We set it up only two cores on 2 X Xeon 7500's and nearly saturated both cores. Just curios if the rates will be even close to the standard rates or a lot higher to compensate for such a resource hog of a game. I know you are still working on it, just curious about the rates and if they will be similar.

The rates will be based on memory consumption and closer to the prices of VDSes.

So they won't be on price per slot like a standard game server? Just going through the order page, most game servers are $1.50-2.00 per slot. Since minecraft is so much more resource intensive, just wondering on how pricing will even work. If you did it anywhere near the pricing of a standard game, you would be loosing a lot of money and fast.

My current plan is to price them per "slot" but the slot count is actually just an estimate of what can be run within the memory allotment, and customers can try different values, if they wish. This has not yet been finalized.

It will likely just be Linux.
