Metabans are back on line. Quit a few here are trying to stop hackers, metabans allow you to share your bans with others and by following other clan's bans you can protect your servers (to some extend)

Metabans are far from perfect, because it is relying on other admin's judgments, some good, some are not. Overall it is an additional tool you can use.
