We'll likely push out R25 on Monday morning. It does not have any bugfixes; it just includes the new Close Quarters maps (that nobody can play yet), so there's no advantage to rolling it out early.

The disadvantage to rolling out R25 (because of the way DICE packaged it) is that it will require that all servers be updated at once; we can't do our preferred "update servers as they empty out" model. So, we don't want to do on a weekend.

I would like to humbly request if we could have R25 rolled out on Sunday June 10th, when server administrators are free and have time to repopulate their servers. Opposed to rolling the update on Monday when admins are at work or class.

This would be greatly appreciated if possible :D

On a side note, how are these individuals playing the new Close Quarters maps?

Unfortunately, as I said, it's all or nothing on the rollout. We can't do some servers early and wait on the others, as we could with some prior releases.

Our experience has been that most clients definitely do not want us restarting their servers on weekend mornings, because that is the only time that some servers ever stay busy overnight and are consequently already busy when the owner logs in to play in the morning.

A few QA testers will always have the new version before others.

Several GSP's already updated their servers, and they appear to be European.
On the forums, some have had there's updated as early as Friday.
Couldn't say what time as of the time difference, but Friday for us might have been early Saturday for them.

Multiplay servers always get first crack at the updates and there customers get to play before release, because they are the test servers. Priveledges that came with Alpha and Beta test hosting.

We got it at the same time as other providers. We did not immediately roll it because it there was no benefit to doing so and because was not well-tested at that time -- we've learned from past updates that rolling immediately is a very bad idea. Some other providers chose to roll it earlier, and they have their own reasons for doing so.

I talk about this in the "Events log" post, as well.

Yeah, strange. Our servers rebooted at 7:40am (EST) or so, but came back up as R-24 (per ProCon at least).

Yeah the same thing happened here. I hope it's PRoCon just being stupid but I don't think it is because I didn't receive any server update notification emails.

Is there anywhere in the CP you can see what server version you're running?

You can go to your "Server Control" and type in the command: version
R-24 is 951336. So, until you see that # change, you are still at R-24.

Also, adding Close Quarters maps doesn't "take" if you try it on R-24.

Ah nice thank you CPx4

Two of my servers say they're running on 951364 and the third says it's still running 951336. I'm assuming ...364 is R25, I went and checked the BL forums and all I could find is the build ID for R26 (964189) which is coming out on Wednesday.

I'm pretty sure you can manually change to them now with the server console. I think John said they would update the CP 'Easy Setup' page later on today.

Players still can't play those maps until Origin unlocks the new DLC though.

Hmm. Still R-24 here. All 6 of our BF3 servers.
