We've now added initial Minecraft support! We have some more information on our Minecraft servers specifically here. Currently, these servers are available in Dallas and Chicago, but we will be expanding the offering to other locations in the near future.

In addition to our regular shared servers, we offer managed servers on VDSes and dedicated machines. All existing managed Linux game servers have been updated to support Minecraft, and new servers can select it as a game to install. With a managed server, the command line can be adjusted, so the memory allowed for a server can be set to any desired value.

Our Minecraft management scripts use Linux-specific tools right now that aren't available on Windows. We will be investigating alternatives and try to add Windows support later, but it may be quite some time before we can add support for that OS, or it may not be possible at all.

Sorry for the double post, I'm sure you can merge them later, but also, does this take advantage of default SMP, OR does it take advantage of Bukkit?

Minecraft servers can be resold, yes. The game code for the partner order page is "minecraft", and you'll have to be careful to set up the player options to match our slot choices.

Minecraft servers can run default SMP, Bukkit, or other plugins.

There we go, my reseller is all set up to offer minecraft :-) had to do quite a bit of fiddling with the javascript, like letting javascript handle the location options, and realized a bunch of the other server options weren't set up right on my order form either, but double-confirmation that yes, it seems to work right. We'll see how well it works when/if a client signs up.
