If you set a password on a channel through the Murmur client, any client with that password listed in the Server->Access Tokens dialog will be able to join the channel and talk normally.

We don't know why the authors of Mumble/Murmur chose to call it "Password" in one place and "Access Token" in another. (We also don't know why they chose to call the Mumble server "Murmur" instead of just "Mumble server", which would be far less confusing.)
