Generally, when IPs are removed from a VDS, those IPs will be held for a minimum of 12 hours. In that window, they can be reassigned to the VDS via most actions that choose new IPs, allowing these IPs to be recovered and reused.
For instance,
If you switch from a managed VDS to an unmanaged VDS, your game servers will all be deleted, but their IPs will be held for you for 12 hours. If you use the
order page to assign extra IPs to your now-unmanaged VDS, they will automatically be selected from this pool.
If you switch from an unmanaged VDS to a managed VDS, you can then delete all extra IPs that you purchased, using the
order page. After you do this, the removed IPs will be held for you for 12 hours. If you
create a new game server on your managed VDS during that time, its IP will be selected from this pool.
If you delete a game server from a managed VDS, the IP that was used by the server you erased will be held for you for 12 hours. If you create a new server on the same managed VDS during that time, it will be assigned that same IP.
If you wipe your managed OS and then install a different managed OS, all of your old game servers will be erased, but their IPs will be held for you for 12 hours. If you create any new servers during that time, their IPs will be selected from this pool.
If you move an unmanaged server to a different location, your old IPs will be held for you for 12 hours. If you move the server back to the original location during that time, the old IPs will be re-assigned to your VDS.
If you remove IPs from an unmanaged VDS using the order page, the removed IPs will be held for you for 12 hours. If you re-purchase extra IPs during that time, the IPs will be re-assigned to your VDS.
