Battlefield3.

I have four servers up, EVERY single user got disconnected at the same time. And now the 24/7 full servers refuse to fill.

Hi,

Was this during a map change at all? What was the error message when getting disconnected?

Try updating PB on your server.

I have no idea about three of the servers, but no we were mid round when everyone was disconnected. I then checked the other servers to see everyone else was disconnected too.

I believe the error message was just something along the lines of "You have been disconnected"

Try using this command to update PB on your server;
punkBuster.pb_sv_command "pb_sv_update"

Also did you update your client side PB?

I'll do that in a bit, the servers filled back up.

Thanks.

Ours did the same, and going by the time of your post, didn't coincide with your time.

Our server had been full since yesterday morning, and between 9-10pm last night, everyone was removed, but the server still appeared to be up as we reconnected immediately. Then I guess we were dropped either to the bottom of the quick match queue or dropped off completely. We played since this server emptying till 2-3am, and not 1 person joined other than the 8+ clan members we had on because we joined via favorites.

Curious, because of the time of your issue, any chance it happened because you have your servers set to auto restart at a certain time? The control panel states it will restart the server if it is full for a very long time because it thinks you may be running a server with bots on it.

I looked at the time that the server would have restarted, and it's 7 am, no where near the time that it happened.

Pain, if you read the description in the control panel, you'll see that BF3 servers are never restarted if they are not empty.

Daslol, it could have just been a server crash, as those are very common with BF3.

A server crash across four different servers?

That's not what I am reading.

Mine says something like if at midnight the server checks to see if the server was started the day before, and if not, it checks every 5 mins to see if the server is empty and if it is, then it restarts. If the server is not empty and it gets to 7am, it unconditionally restarts the server.

My understanding is that at 7am, the server will restart no matter what, unless you uncheck the box so to not force the restart.

I don't know what his setting are, but could have happened.

Did you take into consideration the server time and and the change for time zones?

Did they crash at the top of any hour? Or close to it?

Daslol, yes, it's possible. The Blaze cluster has been having reliability issues, and when one of its machines goes down, servers homed to that machine restart.

Pain, you aren't reading the whole help pop-up description. Continue to the bottom..

I see mention of BC2 and MOH, but it mentions nothing about BF3

It says exactly this, and has said exactly this since I put the text there:

Quote:
... This force-restart function can be disabled separately, and it is disabled by default on BC2, MoH, and BF3 servers.

Neither of the helps for those lines show BF3 mentioned at all.

And the second also says the server is restarted regardless if there are players in the server.

You must be looking somewhere different then me?
