Ok so how would i connect the VDS/VPS i have to make it so i can connect to core ftp and edit my servers info from there.

I would recommend installing the free FileZilla FTP server daemon from here: http://filezilla-project.org/. It has a GUI and should be fairly simple to set up.

im still not sure how to connect to my server.If there is one already made i don't have the info.

You would need to set up a server before you could connect to it. The link I gave is to a website that provides software you could install that would perform the server function.

You'd just need to install the daemon from the site I made reference to in my first post in this thread. Use the "Download FileZilla Server" on that page to download it, then run its installer. After it installs, you will likely need to set up an FTP user in its GUI and point it to the directory you need to be accessible through FTP.

It's super easy to install it on the server. Just follow the instructions here:
