after purchasing an Unmanaged VDS, how would i install a game on the box?
at home i just pop the disk in your install through steam, origin, etc...

Would a staff member of NFO be able to install the game on my vds for me?

basically im looking at Dayz mod for Arma II, but in the purchase section Arma is not listed to pre-install the server files... and it raised the question as to how i would get that ball rolling or put the server files for Arma II on the vds, i assume the Dayz mod would be FTP. adding teh extra files after the main Arma files have been installed.. idk
link me if this topic has already been discussed, i just could not find it.

thank you for your time

The easiest way would be to download Steam to your VDS and install the Arma games along with the ArmaII dedicated server that way, then when you are finished just close Steam.

You mention install the game, but do you have to purchase another copy, or do you just sign in with your own account?

Ok - Then you install the files and shut steam down and run the server with steam off?

Pretty much, yep. The important thing here is that when you install Arma2 via Steam from the "Games" section, you will also have the option of installing the dedicated server files for it from the "Tools" section of Steam. You will want to run the dedicated server, and not the regular game.
