Hello NFOServer community :)

I have a clan that is in dire need of an ArmA 2 Server of about 35 players.

Currently we look at a few options here and I am wondering which option would be more suitable.

Would the single or dual core VPS be able to run a 35~ player ArmA 2 server? (Note I am looking for flexibility because sometimes we need 10~ slots more or less depending on the missions we run each day).

Or would buying a game server from the order page with 35 slots only be more performance savvy for arma 2?

Keep in mind that we are a new clan and the server is being funded mostly through donations so I would like to keep server costs minimal.

Thank you in advance for taking the time to answer my question.

(P.S your support is great, had a very good experience with someone on IRC helping to solve a problem)

Hi,

Personally I would recommend buying one of our standard game servers, standard game servers allow for top notch performance and we guarantee it.

A VDS could allow for more flexibility but Arma is a very CPU intensive server and it could cause some problems.

Also unless you plan on running your server on an unmanaged machine then a standard rental would not only guarantee the best performance but most likely be the best cost wise.

If you haven't ordered from us before I would suggest you give our two-day free trial service a try. Simply visit the order page and order a server like normal and proceed to the confirmation page for further instructions.
