I was trying to install AA2 on our server, but I get and error message:

The image file Server.exe is valid, but is for a machine type other than the current machine.

Does it run on 64 bit servers?

We run it successfully on 64-bit Windows 2003 machines here.

I'm not sure if it requires them, but do you have the various MSVC redist libraries installed (2005, 2008, etc)?

I finally got it. Appears the download I got was an incorrect version. Copied the files received from deploy client and overwrite the other files and it worked fine.

Do you guys offer a download library of the games you offer for those using unmanaged servers?

Or do you have a list of sites or links to obtain server files for most games?

Also need to figure out how to apply updates once they come out.

It's been fun so far. lol

We don't have a download library, but we can manually load files for difficult-to-find games for customers in some cases.

Mostly we just use Google :)

One nice things about old games like AA2 is that they don't really release updates any more, as their developers concentrate on newer titles. It's been awhile since the last AA2 update, and I doubt there will be another unless a serious vulnerability is found.

Ok thanks

I am aware of AA2. I install gamecreate which is a great tool.

Steam type games already come with an update .bat file which is nice to have.

It's installs the game server files automatically and you can instantly create gameservers once the files are installed.

Only issue I have found is that the files installed in some cases are old versions. In most cases, I just uploaded my own game files overwriting the server files and it has been working in most cases.

Trying to install Monday Night Combat and Minecraft, for the kids, but these 2 have been difficult. Minecraft installed, but keeps starting over and over creating infinite instances.

Monday Night Combat, I got the files from Steam dedicated server install, but it has issues starting too.

Only part that is annoying is the slowwwww download to install the serve files.

Can you upload AA2 and garry's mod server files to my server.

If need be, you can leave them in folders on the desktop, and I can copy them into the proper folder.

Thanks.

AA2 shouldn't be a problem -- shoot me a support request about that one.

Garrysmod is something that you can just download through hldsupdatetool, giving you the same files that I would.

Been googling and finally found a wiki for garrysmod.

Sending you a message shortly.
