Just got my beta key. I must say it plays a lot different than previous CS.
Maybe i just need to get used to it but I am not digging the SMGs at all. Very underpowered. Then again it is a beta so maybe it will be looked into.

Other aspects are okay, needs work but it has potential to be great.

Anyone else tried it out? Thoughts?

I wish I had a key...

It looks really fun and I think it will really bring the Counter-Strike series in to a new age. I keep reading mixed reviews about this game but honestly I think that users are thinking this is going to be a re-make of 1.6 and CSS and I do not think that is was Valve is going for.

Personally I wasn't to fond of 1.6 and liked CS:S better but that is just me.

I never enjoyed source. No recoil, plastic looking guns. Probably why theres still more users on 1.6 than source.

I played the Beta and I dont like it but of course it is a new game so I would have to play it more to get used to the new system.

CS:G.O. is very different from source and 1.6. I can tell you that much.

The buy menu is very different. Takes some time to get accustomed to.
There is recoil in global offensive. You can see the bullets flying differently, so that also takes some time to get used to (understand how they work).

I am not sure if the game will grow on me, i guess it can only get better from here given this is still a beta. I like the maps, well detailed and nice to look at :)

The game is fresh air. Lovely. Hopefully it unites the CS1.6 and CSS players into one. It's still heavily being adjust as we're still in closed beta basically.

So far I'm undecided on the game overall. It's gameplay is similar, but the look and feel doesn't feel like 1.6 at all. From my understanding is was going to be old style, new operations. Gonna have to play some more to get a better opinion on the game.

I'm wondering if NFO will provide beta servers once the dedicated servers are released for testing, we would love to try them out.

How are you liking it Kraze?

They just recently came out with a big patch with the bullet spreads slightly different.

I would agree with your post.

I think the beta gameplay will be quite different than final version before release.
Since the first time i played the beta up until today's beta, gameplay is waaayy different.

And i find it already better than source.

I've been enjoying CS:GO ALOT. Love the classic maps and the new ones are fun too. Huge? No. Different? Yes. We need something different. Can't just beg game devs to make new games, exactly like the old ones. No progress, no innovation = boring games.

I would agree there, something different it nice. I like the new maps but I couldn't see people wanting to scrim on them. However for the Gungame mode and TDM they should be fun.
