Just as the title suggests, I'm just curious as to if you guys have had any word as to whether or not you will be hosting CS:GO.

I know the closed beta is over, and the open beta should be going soon. I don't know how Valve deals with server providers; so I don't know if you guys need to have open discussion with them about hosting or not.

I am sure NFo will have CS:GO.

Now if this was Dice or Activision then it would be a different story.

I am sure we will know more about this in 2012.

There is still no official word on this, but if Valve releases CS:GO as they have all of their other games, third-party dedicated servers will be allowed, and thousands of people will be pulling the files from Valve servers on release day.

I expect for CS:GO to be something we can support, but it's difficult to say with any new game. Until we hear official word and have some code to test, we won't be able to say for certain, or to offer preorders.

I heard it only allows up to 10 slots. Is this true? Not looking forward to something so small like this.

Where did you see this? I do not think Valve would do something like this.

Someone credible told me 1 month ago. I took it with a grain of salt but then i saw this footage

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MP5D2N6pKKg at 1:15 it shows 10 maxed out.

I don't think Valve would do this either. Maybe for console but i was a little concerned :X

There is cross platform (pc, ps3, mac) for this game. So should they not keep at 10 slots? I am not sure.

Well the only playing going on with CS:GO at the moment is Alpha so it could just be a 10 slot server, or they haven't had time to stress test the server so it is currently capped at 10. I do not think Valve would do something like this to a game that is supposed to replace CSS.

Another host is offering servers up to 32 slots.
But I wouldn't think they know anymore then anyone else.

Providers who do that are being silly when you do not have all the info out yet.

I got some information from someone regarding the slot counts.

Apparently there is a scrim system built into the game. Like friends/groups/clans do matchmaking etc...This is set to 10 slots.

Then you have your public servers which the slot counts varies.

This notion seems more plausible rather than what i initially thought.

If they do have dedicated servers in CS:GO and if steam releases it, I am DEFINITELY going to get it. No doubt about it.

Was reading up on the CS:GO site, there will be Dedi servers.
Q) Can I host my own dedicated server?
A) Not at this stage in the beta. The full version of CSGO will allow community run dedicated servers on both Windows and Linux.

^
You all know what that means, I'll be returning as a renter. >:)
