Re: Default Rates
It looks like we default to 60 for public servers, when a higher setting is not specified. This was likely in line with what customers needed 15+ years ago, when connections were much slower. Certainly safe to raise it.
Re: CS2
rustydusty1717, yes, that does show five on 11/16, which matches what I saw and reported. There was another on 11/17 (yesterday, the day after you posted). There were also updates on 11/13, 11/8, 11/3, 11/2 (twice), 10/31, 10/26, 10/25 (twice), 10/20, 10/19, 10/17, 10/13, 10/12, 10/11, 10/10, 10/9 ....

Re: CS2
I see five CS2 updates today. Three of them were very small just changed a couple of library files.

Re: SPF and DMARC Records
SPF and DMARC are done with separate entries. Under the @ subdomain (which is the root), you should use the wedge on the right side to expand your options and check the box to create a TXT entry associated with it. In the field, enter v=spf1 include:spf.protection.outlook.com ~all (which you gave as...

Re: Early September Sale!
We were telling the truth in the description -- this sale is on machines that we have many spare of. Seattle does not have many spare dedicated machines currently available.

Re: Early September Sale!
The discounted price should be until the server is changed through the order page again. Often that ends up being forever. The 4-9 day option was added for machines that needed additional configuration time on our end (at the time, because of parts that needed to be ordered on-demand). For certain p...

Early September Sale!
We have spare inventory on many dedicated machines , so we are running a brief but steep sale on new orders to clear them out! While supplies last, many packages, including most types of machines in Chicago, Dallas, and New York, have $30 off from this sale. Just select the package that you want on ...

Re: Tinyboard Error
I'm not familiar with Tinyboard specifically, but the error suggests that there is a mismatch between the PHP version and the Tinyboard version. Are you running the latest versions of both, and do the Tinyboard install instructions say that they support the major PHP version that you are using? You ...

I'm glad that fixed it! We did recently add Debian 12 to our options list, and I should have mentioned it.

Re: Debian and Ubuntu pre-18.04 instructions
Debian 12 Bookworm changed the interface name to enX0 from eth0. This means that you will need to use enX0 in place of eth0 on that OS. For instance, in step #5,
Code: Select all
auto enX0:y
iface enX0:y inet static
address your.ip.address
netmask your.netmask
gateway your.gateway

Re: TF2 server SteamCMD unable to update after 2023 summer update
If you're still running Debian Jessie (Debian 8), then that could certainly cause a variety of issues, including security vulnerabilities being exposed, because they stopped support for it long ago. I would recommend making an external backup of your files, or a local copy of them using the secondar...

Re: TF2 server SteamCMD unable to update after 2023 summer update
I'd recommend applying a full config/config.vdf from a working SteamCMD installation first, to see if that helps. Apart from that, it's worth troubleshooting the lack of a connection. To do this, I'd open a second window on the server and have a running "tcpdump -np" instance running on it...

Re: New York Location
Can't believe I spelled our own domain wrong there. I've edited that now.
I don't know how easy it is to enable SSL on our server, but I can ask after this is over. Since we support IPv6 everywhere, it's also potentially doable for it to have IPv6 enabled.
