Re: MySQL Users
Makes sense, thanks for the suggestion. One follow-up question: Does the IP address of NFO webhosted sites ever change? I want to allow incoming traffic to my VPS databases from the website and need to whitelist it in my firewall. Thanks again They do not change routinely, or often, but it's always...

Re: About my VDS
It's possible the game is saying your NAT is closed because it's unable to complete some form of a background task, such as reaching a port that's in-use, or ping an external IP. Are you actually having problems due to it saying that though?

Re: MySQL Users
Currently, we only support a single MySQL user per web hosting account. It is not possible to add a second user at this time. Though, if you needed a more flexible MySQL setup you may consider hosting one off of a small VDS.

Re: VDS for a DarkRP server
I'd recommend starting with our two-core package and then monitoring CPU/ram usage, and upgrading if needed, since upgrading normally only requires a quick reboot.

Re: About my VDS
We wouldn't be doing any type of filtering/blocking on our end that would effect NAT, so it should always be open. Are you actually seeing problems from it saying your NAT is closed?

Re: NAT Type: Moderate/Strict
Unless something is being blocked on the OS(make sure no firewall is enabled..etc), it sounds like the system may be thinking your NAT type if strict because it cannot do anything with UPnP, but that's just a wild guess. Are you actually having an issue with people being unable to connect to you?

Currently, we do not do any sponsoring. We go in-depth as to why we don't here.

Via the Event Viewer from within Windows. Copy and paste the full error that it displays there.

Re: adding a user
Are you saying when this user connected to the OpenVPN server you were unable to use it at the same time?

Re: FastDL on a VDS
You would just need to mirror the game servers directory structure on the web hosting and then duplicate the files over to it. If the game servers looks like this.. Game server > custom content > Maps > mymap.bsp Game server > custom content > Mods > mymod Then the webserver will need to as well.

Re: Windows 2016
Microsoft is actually starting to push that with Windows 10, and I assume Server 2016.willieaames wrote:I'm still waiting for them to axe the traditional cmd.exe (command prompt).

We mean the event viewer from within Windows. Where you found those original errors, there should be an option to see the full output.

Re: Ping and stability
Best thing to do is to get us a few traceroutes, one to your server and one to the other server, along with the users home IP address. From there we can compare the both and see if any changes can be made.

Re: Server Massively Lagging?
When does the lag start occurring? Is it constant, or only after X amount of people join? Are you seeing any choke/loss in net_graph 4? Also, you'll want to check the server usage tab in your control panel to see what the game server is actual using, the server health tab shows the entire VDS.

Re: TeamSpeak 3 Server
We have a Linux based guide here.

As for Windows, it's even easier. You really just need to download the server and double click it. It can be configured further, but for a quick and easy setup it'll do.
