Re: server population after last client patch
The ping issue can be resolved by running the game as administrator.Edge100x wrote:The browser definitely still has issues right now, both in not showing all servers and in not showing pings. This is something that DICE is working on (they're finding ways to shrink the list that clients have to download).

Re: server population after last client patch
That's just removing choice from users and server admins, at the benefit of no one.Johnny wrote:I realize that PB is usually required for ranked servers, my point was that it should be required for all servers, ranked or not ranked:)

Re: server population after last client patch
In my opinion, PB should be required for all servers. It would make things much easier. I mean, what type of server admin wants to be over run by cheaters? I fully understand that nothing is foolproof but I am sure that everyone could agree that some protection is better than none? For ranked serve...

Re: server population after last client patch
Had an empty server for a few days, then randomly last night it picked up and has been sitting at 32 since 6AM. Just randomly droves of people join and keep it going for hours. If we had google style analytics that would be great.

Re: BFBC2 Admin Release
I've been trying to broadcast to a specific player. It keeps saying "invalid arguments" and IDK what I'm doing wrong:
Code: Select all
admin.yell "You now have admin rights." 10000 "player xchromosome"

Oh no, the daemon that I am using emulates it.Edge100x wrote:(Sweet, it sounds like they added undocumented player.onTeamSwitch events. I wonder if they added others that would be useful for the admin daemon.)

Disabled Autobalancer and enabled Punkbuster, then this happened after a couple hours of being online:
Just disabled PB again.
Just disabled PB again.

Re: BC2 admin daemon feedback
When two people do "!nextmap" at the same time, it crashes the server. This happened once, and because of it I am now using tiered admin so that only one person can do administratorship at one time.

Re: BC2 Annoucements
Is there any way to set up announcements that cycle through at the start of a map then don't after that. So say we wanted to "announce" a couple rules, have it announce rule 1, wait say 15 seconds, announce rule 2, etc. That is unless there's a sourcemod type thing for bad company 2 comin...

Re: Tested: BC2 Guardian tool
I sent the map change bug into their support desk. I will await the fix. I expect things like this when a game company does feel it necessary to release a tool to control their own game. Just an FYI....all the other admin tools have had fairly bad bugs. All of them will continue until everything is...

Re: Easy way to add a BF:BC2 Server to favorites?
The way I found to make it work is to play on the server then leave without it DCing you and it should then hopefully show up in your "History" from there it seems to take adding to favorites.. Worked for me anyways. I made a guide on my website, which you can copy and edit if you want: h...
