NFOservers is the best all around host
NFOservers is the best all around host for your server needs. I've had nothing but a good experience, even after canceling services. No other company I know of will outright contact you to make sure your stay was good. I've been a customer off and on for the past few years. I really like their custo...

Re: Quake 3 Server Lags
You are experiencing lag because you are using the 64-bit ioquake3 binary. 64-bit is unstable. Use the 32-bit binary for your server.
IT field?
I've been tinkering with VDS/dedi off and on for a few years now. So I wonder if doing everything I can to learn about the latest windows server os and linux or not what would actually help me land a job somewhere involving computers? Just wondering if anyone has actually done this.

Also, I was referring to the public server list on the nfo main site.

Does nfo allow nonsteam servers?
Also known as cracked servers. I noticed there are a few CS 1.6 servers in the public server list that which have the term "nonsteam" in their server name. This would mean that the servers are configured and would allow people with pirated copies to play the servers because they are nonste...

Re: Half-Life 2: Deathmatch Choke
Maybe you could try replicating the problem on your own machine. For example, install virtualbox and load up your flavor of linux.

Iptables
I need help learning how to set them up in centos 6 (linux). I know it's not recommended to use it, but I need it for port mapping and other things. Anyway, every time I try to setup iptables I always end up locking my self out of SSH and have a really hard time opening up specific ports. I've reall...

Re: nfoservers.com was down
I see. Well, is there anything you can do to change the mail system for web hosting clients? I really disliked the fact that I couldn't access my email due to the main webserver went down. I thought the mail system would be on the same server as my website files are on.

Europe
Any possibility NFO might expand it's VDS service into Europe sometime in the future? I would really love to see this happen. The VDS packages that are offered here by NFO are much better than what I've seen from most other host.

Re: Game logs
Ah, I see. That is great. I'm wanting to set it up to where the webhost automatically logins remotely to an FTP server and have it download a specific file like a txt file for example, and have it downloaded to the a specific folder (if possible) on my webhost storage. I don't really know all the co...
