Layers of DDoS protection
We've gotten some inquiries from customers recently about how our DDoS protection works, and how it compares to other companies. We have a multi-layered approach to DDoS mitigation that applies to all our locations and services. Large upstream links and always-on upstream filters We use large upstre...

Re: cs2-ds tickrate?
I'll have to look into it further, but this likely no longer applies to CS2 and may need to be removed from that page.

Re: Partial FTP Access?
At the price point of our webhosting services, we can't really support one account branching into many sites with different permissions structures -- the resource demand for each account would quickly balloon past our costs. If you are thinking of reselling or otherwise restrict just one domain out ...
Re: PalWorlds
I'm sorry that I didn't see your questions sooner here! If you don't mind losing your world/characters, switching to Linux wouldn't be too bad. The configuration file just goes in a different place on the Linux version, and you could save and restore that. If you want to keep the player data, it's a...

We also offer this game in our regular system now!
Re: PalWorlds
Partly it could be that they released a more stable version, but it's hard to say. It could also relate to higher player counts, or to specific actions in-game.

mennes, that's good to hear! Is that on Windows or Linux?
We'll have more data as time passes and our managed/shared servers get used.

Re: Palworld servers
We're getting pretty close here and we will likely open up the game to at least managed VDS/machine customers in the next couple of days. Our system now handles queries and rcon commands, including save-on-exit. Many unmanaged customers already do run it, as it's fairly easy to get start up a server...

Re: Palworld servers
It doesn't look like this game supports server queries right now, so it wouldn't work well in our managed system. But, customers should be able to run their own servers on unmanaged machines/VDSes. It has a Linux server, which can help to keep costs down on a VDS.

Re: Chiicago problems?
Thank you for your patience and support! Things are better today, with all customer equipment reachable and usable, and no disconnections yet. Equinix is struggling to keep temperatures down at the datacenter, though, so we hope that it all does stay working. We'll continue to provide updates throug...

Re: Default Rates
It looks like we default to 60 for public servers, when a higher setting is not specified. This was likely in line with what customers needed 15+ years ago, when connections were much slower. Certainly safe to raise it.

rustydusty1717, yes, that does show five on 11/16, which matches what I saw and reported. There was another on 11/17 (yesterday, the day after you posted). There were also updates on 11/13, 11/8, 11/3, 11/2 (twice), 10/31, 10/26, 10/25 (twice), 10/20, 10/19, 10/17, 10/13, 10/12, 10/11, 10/10, 10/9 ....
