I've tried reinstalling like 15 times now.

Every fresh install using steamcmd makes a hlds.exe that can't launch. Is there any way I can get a little extra help -.-

I did one update on the regular server, then i started from scratch when that didnt work. I just did the app_update 90, and it downloaded everything, then it wouldn't boot the hlds up, then i did the validate, and it boots to console, but now I'm getting the MasterServerRequest. Is there anyplace that I can download a current working full cstrike dedicated -.- even google is starting to run out of options to fix the errors im running into.

just tried validate, same result.

I can join etc, all errors on startup i've fixed so far.

The issue now that I'm seeing is that it tells me my server is not up to date and must be shut down / restarted. However, if i use the steamcmd program and verify the install, it says app 90 is up to date.

Disabled both, still no luck.

I really appreciate your fortitude in helping with this.

server has metamod and amx, i can disable both if it might help. And unless something preset firewall wise is setup there shouldn't be, i haven't adjusted any firewall settings etc.

Fixed it, got server up, still doesn't appear to be showing up in the server listings -.-

So everything is now up to date (from scratch) yet the hlds (From both console bootup, and the ugly gui bootup) fail to start.

The gui bootup fails immediately, but the -console shortcut created boots up / doesn't connect to the master server.

Now I'm getting "Error! app '90' is 0x1 after update job"

None whatsoever.

Is this the equivalent of the old hldsupdatetool? Can i start from scratch by creating a cstrike folder and running it inside of it? Right now when i run it it either crashes, or creates a folder called "package" and then exits.
